Maybe It's a Dream?

Can you believe it? In about a week, I will be going to another country. *insert mini-heart-attack here* I am SUPER excited, I'm short a couple hundred dollars. I'm so close. *sigh* I have til Sunday night.

Hey ya'll! Sorry I've been gone for like, what? 2-3 weeks? Summer school is going really well(: Got a B in both Algebra & Bio! Best I've ever done, but I got great teachers!

Time Crunch!!!

Alright Guys, I have a grand total of.... $335! No bad! :D High five for everyone! Nicely done! 
But you all know that ISN'T enough! D: I need about $1,200. That makes about $865 to go. Which in all reality isn't that bad. 


This is where you guys need to help me. I only have ONE MONTH & 3 WEEKS left!!!!!! This is serious everyone! I need your guys'  help. I wouldn't ask if I couldn't do it! There's so much to do in a little amount of time. I need the money. I know with your help, time & prayer, I can do this. I have so much faith, & it's slowly coming. Really, I was trying to get over my goal, but most the people who are going are working for their money. 


I believe there's either 9 or 10 people who are going. We started out with 16 people. So that's a BIG change in people going. I really don't want to be a person that leaves too.

Not as bad as I thought I'd be... I still need $1,080.... Gahh. But one step at a time. 

I got my passport today!!! :D Not gunna lie, its pretty cool! :D 

So this weekend I went camping with one of my best friends, & I realized how much I LOOOOVE indoor plumbing! I'm defiantly not ungrateful for that. I really hope Costa Rica doesn't have ticks. Those buggers look CREEPY! I can handle mosquitoes, but not ticks. Yuck. & Another thing, sunburn. This year it is my first year actually FEELING the burn. No bueno. ): It hurts, but at least I'm tanning! :D Haha, you win some, you loose some! :D 

Sorry this blog isn't as fun. ): I think this is my most boring blog. Haha, no lie.

You Have Questions? Oh Good! Here's the Answers!

So lately I've been getting a LOOOOT of questions about my Costa Rica trip! Well, I am here to answer them! So to get the ball rolling, I will start with the most common question:


What IS a missions trip? 
-Great Question! A missions trip is NOT a vacation! It is a trip only focused on God & his desires of what he wants our team to do. We are working 90% of the time. We help those who need help, & speak the words he wants out of our mouths.

Why can't you earn the money yourself?
-I get this question often. Its not that I dont want to work, but I have other things besides this trip I need to focus on too. School is my main priority, & to make sure I pass, I must go to summer school to pass a class that I have failed. This will take up most of my time for a month. I can't get a job, if I am at school. Another reason I don't get a job is, my parents want me to be a kid. My mama tells me, "You have to work the REST OF YOUR LIFE. Enjoy being a kid!!" & You know what? I love that. I feel no pressure to grow up so young. When H.S is over, I will get a job, & go to collage & start my grown up life then (:

What if something bad happens to you?
-I thank you for concern! :D I dont think anything will happen to me, but if it does, it was my time to go. At least I would accomplish my dream to change a life. I am not scared of death, but I am scared of who I leave behind. I cannot promise anything, but I'm living on faith. I believe, no matter where in the world I am, that I will be the safest. I know God, & my Angel Mike, will protect me. I have faith in what I am doing, &  why I am doing this.

Why ARE you doing this?
-You know, when you feel that moment of; 'I need to do it myself'? Or 'I feel something'? This is one of those feelings. I feel like I'm being called out there. I honestly don't know how to explain it! I know this sounds weird to you who have a different belief, but I heard a voice next to my ear when Pastor Josh was speaking & it told me this, "Here's what I have planned for you." I felt in my heart, that these children need me to show/share my love.

Say I donate money. What's in it for me?
-Well, I thank you for donating money! :D I really couldn't tell you what's in it for you, & I'm being honest. The fact that you, YOU helped send me to do God's work would be prideful all on its own. God says that when you give, you will receive 10x that amount! So, if your one who doesn't believe, it's good karma in lack of a better word.

Well how long are you going to be gone?
-7 days my friend! August 24th- Sept 1st! Then 2 days later I have to go back to school! :D

Nothing, Nada, Not Even a Penny

So today I got on the Fundrazr (what I use to get donations...) & nothing! Not even a dollar! ):
I prayed to God earlier today, for support, & I don't know why I expected this to be so easy. I think I have too much faith if that's possible. lol. I can't do this on my own. I honestly can't. My family doesn't have the money for all of it by ourselves. Heck, we barely made by on rent, but we did it. Being responsible for raising money is harder than I thought. I miss being a kid, where everything was taken care of us. If you went to Disneyworld, it was great, everything taken care of! But being older, you realize how HARD it is! I wish I could snap my finger's & everything's taken care of. Since I can't, & I can't get a job (Mom says that you have to work for the rest of your life, so enjoy being a kid. Best. Mom. Ever.) I am asking, no I need a better word than asking, but a less pathetic word than 'begging'. Well whatever that word is, I'm saying it.
Everyone who's reading this, I don't want to give up the privileged to go. This is my dream, right here, right now. & To lose it so early, would devastate me.
I'll keep on praying, that maybe, just maybe, you'll take the time to help me. I know a lot of you out there don't have money, but a little would keep my spirits going. To know your out there, reading this.

Today's Adventure's of Doing Paperwork!

So my fundraising can now officially begin! I'm so thrilled you have no idea! Well I had a lot of paperwork to do for my passport, & let me tell you that is NO FUN AT ALL. Though, Walgreen's was kinda funny when I got my picture done. I walked up to the photography area & go, "Can I have passport pictures done?" she pulls out this tiiiiiiny little black camera & says "Yup!" then walks over to where all the like memory cards were & pulled the white screen down. I was like, "Gee I could do this at home!" xD Hahaha. Just pointing it out. Then I waited for a half an hr by activating my card so I could do everything all in one day. So she gave my my lovely picture that I will have for the next 10 yrs, & we paid & left. The post office was interesting. She looks over my stuff & goes, "Do you not have a middle name?" I'm like, "What?" I left it blank. Total blonde moment if you ask me! Bahahahahahahaha! I also forgot a tiny important detail, to you know, put my social security down. I'm just like, "Today is not my day." lol. The Public Notary was very nice, she even had this cool stamp thing that made her like, official. I gotta get me one of those!
But now, for the grand finally!
I CAN START FUNDRAISING! :D

This Girl's Got A Goal.

Hey ya'll! My Paypal account will officially be open THIS Sunday! I so psyched! School is now over for me! (Thank goodness!)
Alright, well let's get down to what my goals are.
-Change a Life.
Awe come on, you know we all have that secret goal in life! Whether it's to be a champ in kickboxing, selling cars, starting a successful band, writing a book, well, you get it. We all just have that over-achieving dream. (:
I thought maybe, you know, since I'm going to Costa Rica, that maybe, just maybe, I could change a life.
There's this show, I can't recall the name, but it's these 4 guys. They have 100 things they want to do before they die. But with every goal, they have to help a complete stranger accomplish their goal. They did this most amazing thing, they help this wonderful middle-age woman find her birth mother. I thought to myself, 'Ey, I want to do that! I want to help someone, to change a life!'. So from then on, I created a sheet with 100 things I want to do before I die. Why not? You only live once! :D But I'm not one of those teens, that go, & rebel. I'm NOT like that. It's too disrespectful. Anyways, let me try not to bore you.
So as I was saying, 'Changing a Life'. These are kids & older woman I'm going to help. Maybe my story will change them. You know? It's not a lot, I know that, & I'm no God. But I am his temple, right? That's what it says in the Bible. So I guess for this whole missions trip, I'm going to change a life. Yeah, that's my goal! :D
